There are a lot of reasons you should never host a home. You are getting charged a cleaning fee to clean the home. It is never a good idea. As a homeowner you are responsible for the home, so you are required to clean the home and maintain it at a high standard. It is also not a smart idea to host a home to someone who is likely to do a bad job cleaning it.
I think they are being overzealous. And while it is true that some cleaning companies charge a cleaning fee to clean their homes, it is probably better to pay for the cleaning itself. Of course, a cleaning fee could be a way for the host to get your money to spend on things that they would rather you not have to spend money on, so I wouldn’t say that I am in favor of a cleaning fee.
AirBnB has a cleaning fee, and it’s probably not all that great. But the fee doesn’t apply to all hosts in the same time. A few of them are very stingy about cleaning their rental units, and others are not. So you should make sure that your host is the same as you.
The airbnb website has a “cleaning fee” for cleaning your apartment. If you are using a shared place, or if you are being a guest for only a few nights, you will be charged a fee. I would say, though, that you should not think that you have to pay just because you are renting to a certain host. If a host is nice enough to you, they may not think that they need to pay this fee to you.
The fee is $5 for any cleaning of your place, and $35 for more than one room. You will not be charged a cleaning fee for a place that is rented out to other people, or to a guest for just a few nights, or if you are a frequent guest.
I don’t know about you, but when I read that airbnb is charging $35 for a ‘clean’ of my place, I’ve got to ask “Really, is it really that bad?” I mean, I don’t really know, but if you had to say the same thing about a regular room, I would say that it must be pretty bad.
You might say that the price of airbnb cleaning should be less than a regular room, but the truth is that they charge more for a clean than a regular room does, and you have to pay extra for the privilege of having a cleaner take care of your place. That being said, I dont have a problem with the fee. I have a small house, so I dont usually pay for a full cleaning.
I do have a problem with the fact that I can’t actually see how I’m supposed to clean a place that I paid $1,150 for and have a cleaning company come over and do my dirty work. I feel like it has to be the fault of the owner who is not aware of how the room functions and does not care. He’s probably as lazy as a pig.
If I had to pick one up I would spend 2.2 hours cleaning the place in about 2 minutes and I would get the cleaning fee as much as I possibly could. That being said, I do not usually have a cleaning company here either.
