It’s amazing how many stories there are out there for Harry Potter fans to read. There are ones that focus on the series, and others that go into more detail about the characters. The one thing they all have in common is that they’re a work of fiction. These two stories are no exception, but it’s not because of their lack of creativity or imagination; it has everything to do with reality: Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy were never Harry Potter’s mates!
The idea that Harry’s two most hated enemies from Hogwarts are his mates is a strange one, and not surprising because it’s simply unrealistic. However, many of us have been rooting for them to be true friends or even something more since we were children reading the series with wide eyes! We wanted Severus Snape to never admit he was wrong about everything in life, especially where Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter were concerned; but alas, like all good things they must come to an end. The stories themselves explore how these unlikely characters could form such a bond and what would happen if their secret wasn’t so well guarded after all.
Some people might say this fanfiction takes away from JK Rowling’s original work by suggesting that certain characters were in love with each other all along. But think of this as just another interpretation, and you might find it’s much more enjoyable than the usual “Draco falls for Harry” story!

The story starts out with Harry being born on the night of Halloween as his parents, James and Lily were killed that day. Voldemort attacked him before he could be protected by his loving family. He survived but without any magic or memories of who he is outside of the last few days of his life when he has been cared for by Severus Snape, one of his father’s former friends turned enemy, and Lucius Malfoy, another friend turned enemy who had always loved Lily since they were children together in Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry until she married James Potter instead which made him very angry.
It is a story where Severus and Lucius are Harry’s mates. This story has been written by many different authors and they all have their own take on how the relationship between these three characters should work out. Some stories involve them as friends, some as enemies who become friends later, others make it so that one of them is killed before they can be together with Harry but there are also those who just want to see what would happen if they were all together at Hogwarts. The point here is that this story could go any which way you wanted to make it go so long as you didn’t kill off one of the main players or put two of them.
There are many Harry Potter fanfiction stories about Severus and Lucius being Harry’s mates. This story follows what would happen if Voldemort had won during the Battle of Hogwarts in 1997. It is not my own, but it was written by a very talented author who has taken the Harry Potter world and twisted it in an original way that will make you want more from her stories of Severus and Lucius as they try to figure out their relationship with each other while raising young Harry into adulthood.
