It’s easy to think of a water pump as an in-built mechanical valve, but it has a mechanical connection to a small motor and you can’t actually make a mistake with it. If you can’t use your iac to move water, then there’s no way to actually replace it. The reason water-powered engines use the iac valve is because it’s attached to the water pump, not the motor.
This looks like a good little water pump but there is a problem that iac valve cleaning doesn’t seem to be able to fix. I’ve seen people in the past who had a water pump, but it looks like a water pump is a mechanical valve cleaner.
