I associate this song with fun times and good memories. When I hear it in a restaurant or on the radio, it reminds me of all the great moments that have happened during my life. The lyrics also evoke feelings of triumph because they tell an incredible story about how one city (albeit fictional) can change someone for the better; moreover, we know before listening to any music what type of moods our favorite songs will likely bring up within us based upon past experiences and cultural associations. Some more examples include: “Rockin’ Robin,” which brings back childhood & puts me in a playful mood.
