You might be wondering which gun will give you the best bang for your buck. A lot of people are curious about this, and that’s why we’re providing a list of all the weapons in Nuclear Throne to help make your decision easier. We’ll go over each tier and explain what makes it special so you can figure out what weapon is right for hunting!
Tier One: The Three Shooters
This tier includes the Shotgun, Machine Gun and Rocket Launcher. These weapons are all good to use in close quarters. You can’t go wrong with any of these as they’re powerful enough for hunting!
Tier Two: The Four Shooters
The four shooters include the Assault Rifle, Crossbow (with explosive bolts), Double Shotgun and Lasergun (“Laser” is a misnomer). All of these operate well at mid range distances where you don’t need explosives or long range power. They also have plenty of ammo so you won’t run out during your hunt!
Tier Three: Explosives Galore
Explosives galore usually means an entire arsenal full of guns. This includes the homing missile launcher, grenade launcher and acid gun. These weapons are best used for hunting in open areas where you can easily see targets coming from a distance away!
This tier is mostly only useful if your target moves at a relatively predictable speed like The Duke of Flies or when fighting bosses that don’t teleport around too much like Baroness. Explosives galore might not be as good when targeting weaker enemies since it takes time to aim missiles accurately and grenades have slow projectiles!
Tier Four: Melee Weapons Galore
The melee weapon tiers starts with an axe which has little range but makes up for this by having plenty of power behind each swing. You’ll find more powerful axes later on starting with the axe of the madman and finally concluding at The Biter. A good idea is to save these weapons for when you come across a group of enemies because they can quickly dispatch smaller groups with ease!
Tier Three: Shotguns galore
Shotguns are great against weaker, close ranged targets since their projectiles don’t travel as fast but do an insane amount of damage per pellet; so there’s no need to worry about firing too many shots if your target doesn’t move that much in order to follow up on it.
Tier Two: Piercing Rounds Galore
Piercing rounds guns have crazy range (compared to other non-ranged weapons) and enough power behind each projectile not just from sheer velocity but also from their use of explosives which do not need to be reloaded.
Tier One: The Best Guns in Nuclear Throne are…
The best guns, those that should always reside at the top of your arsenal when you’re hunting for high level and/or boss enemies are the LMG (due to its rapid fire) or any Shotguns with Piercing Rounds on them. As a bonus mention, try out The Biter if you want a gun that can pack quite a punch due to it’s melee charge attack!
Shotgun is great against weaker close ranged targets since projectiles travel slower but do insane damage per pellet; so there is no need to worry about firing too many shots if target is close enough.
Tier Two: The Runner Ups in Nuclear Throne are…
The runner up guns are those that can be viable if your main gun is out of ammo, but don’t rely on them as much due to their slow rate of fire and low damage per shot – like the Minigun or Sniper Rifle. It’s also worth mentioning that Assault Rifles with Piercing Rounds do have a weak knockback effect for being able to interrupt enemy attacks so they’re not entirely useless either!
Tier Three: Guns That Aren’t Really Worth Using in Nuclear Throne (AKA Trash Tier) just because something has high DPS doesn’t make it good when there other weapons which will outperform it; even if you still want to use it, don’t expect much from these weapons.
Tier Four: The Best Guns in Nuclear Throne (AKA Tier One)
The best guns are those with high DPS and good range like the Battle Rifle or Machine Gun – they make quick work of any baddies that get caught up in their spray! Let’s take a look at them more closely…
As you can see, some tiers have higher damage output than others which is why we list out all the stats on our tier lists so players know what gun suits them better. It’s always important to experiment with every weapon by playing each one until you find your favorite because there isn’t really a “best weapon for everyone” across.
