The word “spring cleaning” is an archaic word that has not been in use since the 1800’s, and yet it is still a very common phrase. I don’t think it is a good thing to use just because we are all so used to thinking about spring cleaning these days. We are so busy, so stressed out, so we do nothing for ourselves.
It seems odd to me that if we were all so busy, stressed out, and stressed out about spring cleaning, we would still be cleaning. We are so busy, stressed out, stressed out, stressed out, stressed out, stressed out, stressed out, stressed out.
I agree, a lot of us do nothing for ourselves. It is one of the reasons that the idea of “spring cleaning” is considered so archaic. It was considered such a modern thing, that it didn’t even make sense. I would imagine that for most of us, spring cleaning happens on the weekend, and it isn’t as if we go through a lot of cleaning on a daily basis. It’s really just a weekend thing.
It’s about as much about spring cleaning as any other day of the week. It all started with the new season, and it’s been going on since then. I remember our first morning just before the summer break, when we were going through the trees, and I was having a really hard time not just staying up late, but also not getting up early. The trees were dying.
All those years of not just staying up late but also not getting up early had started to tell us that spring cleaning was more about staying up late and getting out of the house, than it was about cleaning. It was about being lazy and lazy.
The opposite happened as well. It felt like spring-cleaning was about getting out of the house and going for a walk or a run. It wasn’t about cleaning up. It was about getting back to the house.
The two approaches to spring cleaning are very different. The first is to stay in the house longer, to take the opportunity to do a little spring cleaning and to get the house ready for spring cleaning. The second is to get out of the house and get out of the house quickly. Both approaches get you to a place where you can get started on a clean slate, ready to get to work. The problem with the second approach is that it is hard to get started quickly.
One of the first things I did when I moved into my new office was to clean out the office and draw a few new things out of it. This was followed by moving all the boxes and files and making all the boxes into a neat pile. I like to do this at the beginning of the year so that people know what to expect, and I like to start with clean slate and a tidy house.
The second approach, though… well, it’s a little different. The problem with this approach is that it takes a little time and effort to get going. You have to put in hours and hours to get things done. If you want to get things done, you have to do it. When you start to get to the point where you feel like you have to do it right away, I don’t think that’s a good idea.
I think it is a little bit arrogant that we expect people to just start cleaning house when they are just getting into their new home. So why would someone just go to the store and buy all the supplies and start cleaning the house? It is a little bit like going to the store to buy all the cleaning supplies without first figuring out what the heck you are going to do with them.
